A Whole New Smile

Porcelain veneers in Aurora at Retro Dental Aurora will provide you with perfectly straight teeth for added confidence and appeal

Tooth Veneers are wafer‐thin, custom-made (created in a dental lab with the finest quality materials) shells of tooth-colored materials, which are designed to cover the front surface of your tooth and improve the tooth’s appearance. These porcelain tooth veneers are bonded to the front of each tooth, therefore changing the color, shape, size, and length of the original tooth. Veneers can be made from porcelain or resin composite materials. The porcelain veneers resist stains better and mimic the light reflecting properties of natural teeth more effectively. Porcelain tooth veneers provide a natural tooth appearance, are stain resistant, and you can choose the color and shape of the veneers you want to use. Be advised that porcelain veneers are very compatible with your gum tissues and this avoids causing any discomfort. Porcelain veneers are a perfect match to make your worn down, discolored, chipped or broken teeth look great! They will give you the perfectly straight and bright smile you have always wanted.

Maintaining porcelain tooth veneers is really quite easy. Treat them as you would your own natural teeth, with routine brushing and flossing twice a day with nonabrasive, fluoride toothpaste. You should also return twice a year for your cleaning and exams. After the cleaning, your teeth will be polished with a specially formulated, non‐abrasive paste. During your exam, our dentist will look for signs of grinding or clenching with your teeth and he may recommend a night guard to protect your veneers. We also suggest that you refrain from biting your fingernails, hairpins, pencils, ice or any other hard objects. If you are engaging in sporting events, we recommend an athletic mouth guard. Adhering to these tips will ensure a long-lasting smile you can have confidence in.
